George Herman

The Director Prepares

George Herman spends hours preparing the director’s script even before auditions

Scenes are blocked and rehearsals scheduled to make the best possible use of the cast member’s time with rehearsals lasting no more than two hours.  He has directed over 200 plays for High schools, colleges and local regional theatres.  While in Hawaii, He was Artistic Director for the Commedia Repertory Theatre and directed for nearly every theatre company in the islands.

George also designed sets and lighting for more than 40 university and summer theatre productions including the design and rigging system that flew four vomiting children in “Peter Pan.”
